Performing Journal

You don't need to be a superstar to keep a journal of performances. Even a walk on part at the local community or church play can be a wealth of insight, clarity and soul searching as you delve into the part.

If you plan to keep growing in your art, looking back at your humble beginnings can help you through rough times. It will also be a great benefit when you're famous and Biography wants to do a special on you! Seriously, a performers journal is a great place for information on your craft, thoughts and quotes to motivate your performance and a great place to scrapbook momentos of events such as playbills, tickets, reviews and more.

Here are some thoughts to get you started in Performer's Journals.

-Many professions have commerical journals available for your use. Easy fill in the blanks make it quick to use and build memories along the way.

- You don't always have to "write" everything... how about a digital camera to document your performance? So many are small and inexpensive and a great way to use through out the whole adventure and then you can save them to CD and write information about the performance on your computer.

- If you can't do the journal... how about asking your Mom? Or a close friend? You'd be surprised, they might be honored! They might even be doing it already!
