Computer Journaling

The computer is the dream answer and the bane of existance for different types of people. Some folks would think that journaling on a computer would be something close to a cardinal sin! However, in this day and age, the computer does offer something that toting around a journal all the time can't do. It's often available many hours of the day to us.

There are several great software packages that capitalize on this availablity and offer many neat bells and whistles for journaling. It's best to do your research and check out these program to make sure they are compatible to your needs. In fact, just a simple word processor can be a great journal, simple start a file and deposit your writing files in there by date or topic. Many people with web skills create online journals, sometimes called BLOGS (a shortening of the words Web Log) where other people can read and comment on their thoughts and more. Others create sites more for just sharing their thoughts in words and graphics. The sky's the limit!

Here are some thoughts to get you started in Computer Journaling.

Before buying any journaling software, check their website to see if they have a free demo to try out for a few weeks. This might save you a lot of money if you find that computer journaling is not your style.

Consider learning more about Blogs. You might really get addicted to these online communities of journaling!

Remember to back up your work, OFTEN! Computers are easily tampered with, and fail. You want your work to be available through the ages, so take care to protect it with a back-up routine.
