Scrapbook Journaling

There is more than one way to do journaling, and scrapbooking is a most creative way. Most people keep picture albums, scrapbooks, and some even keep journals. Scrapbooking is a way to bring them both together. Scrapbook journaling is a way to record your life with photographs, keepsakes, and written accounts together in one album. What better way to chronicle the important events of your life than by scrapbook journaling?

One of the best parts about scrapbook journaling is how your family will look upon your work with pure joy. It is a very open and available journal for your friends and family to look through whenever they wish. It documents their lives as well as your own. Children delight in seeing how their parents got together, married and lived before their births. And it helps to fill in the gaps that young children have about their early lives.

Here are some thoughts to get you started in Scrapbook Journaling.

- One of the biggest misconceptions about scrapbooking or memory books is that you have to be creative and it is expensive. Neither is true. Certainly, a creative person might make a more elaborate page and book, and you can spend a lot of money on all the latest gadgets and materials, you can still create beautiful pages with simple elegance and basic supplies. There are many magazines, books and websites with ideas to help you. And you can add so much more to a page by writing. Add your thoughts, comments and even quotes from family members to the pages. In the end it is the comments and pictures, bits of memories that will be cherished far and above the fancy doo-dads and creative flair!
